Title: PM4 Project Modifications, Retainage & Final for S.D. Spady

Recommendation:

I recommend the School Board approve Project Modifications in the credit amount of ($376,322.27) and the addition of 122 non-compensable days, approve Reduction of Retainage from 5% to 0% and approve Final Payment and ratify Final Acceptance for S.D. Spady Elementary School, Classroom Additions Project, and authorize the Chairman and Superintendent to execute all related contract documents.

Item #1

  • COPR #1 in the credit amount of ($376,322.27).
  • Description:
    • Credit for General Conditions ($227.86)
    • Deduct for Insurance ($15,703.03)
    • Credit for Contingency ($167,782.71)
    • Credit for Un-purchased Scopes ($192,608.67)
  • Cause:  School District Requested.
  • Justification: All work was completed per the contract documents and specifications. Credit resulted from unused contingency and buy-out savings.

§        COPR #2 in the addition of 122 days.

§        Description: A non-compensable time extension of 122 days.

§        Cause: School District Requested

§        Justification: For Administrative closeouts.

 

Item #3

Description: The Project Architect, Zyscovich Inc., has certified that S.D. Spady Elementary School, under contract with C.R. Klewin Construction, achieved Final Completion on February 17, 2006.

 

The General Contractor has requested, and the Architect and Staff have recommended, Final Payment and Final Acceptance.

 

  • Punch List items were Completed
  • Certification of Occupancy was Obtained
  • Closeout Documents were Received
  • Errors & Omissions did not Exceed 1%
  • Final M/WBE Participation Achieved: 25.22%

Financial Impact:

The financial impact to the Project's Budget is a credit of ($376,322.27).
