RULE NUMBER: Policy 2.09.

SUBJECT AREA TO BE ADDRESSED: Structure, function, and duties of school advisory councils (SACs).

PURPOSE AND EFFECT: Revisions are recommended to conform with amendments to the relevant statutes regarding school improvement plans, pursuant to Chapter 2006-74, Laws of Florida, and to require that school improvement plans must address single school culture; and additional minor revisions are recommended for reasons of practicality. The text of the sample SAC bylaws would be deleted from the Policy but would be available on the Web site of the Department of School Improvement.
