NOTICE OF PROPOSED RULE DEVELOPMENT
AND PUBLIC HEARING

RULE TITLE: Retention Agreement for Administrative Professional, Managerial, Confidential, and Miscellaneous ERP Personnel.

RULE NUMBER: Policy 3.304.

SUBJECT AREA TO BE ADDRESSED: Retention Agreements with certain classifications of employees who have key skill sets related to the ERP process.

PURPOSE AND EFFECT: This Rule will allow the School District to enter into Retention Agreements with certain classifications of employees who have key skill sets related to the implementation of the PeopleSoft ERP system. These agreements will provide supplements as a means to retain their employment. This Policy will supersede the emergency rule (3.304-ER) that was adopted on May 2, 2007.

SPECIFIC RULEMAKING AUTHORITY: Fla. Stat. §§ 215.425; 1001.41(2); 1001.42(5)(a), (23); 1001.43(11); 1012.22 (1); 1012.23(1).

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE: Development of the proposed rule is anticipated to be considered at the School Board's Special Meeting on Policies on May 30, 2007, anticipated to begin at about 4:00 p.m. (an approximate time, as the actual start time may vary earlier or later) in the Board Chambers at 3300 Forest Hill Blvd., West Palm Beach, Fla. AGENDA: A copy of the agenda will be available on May 23 on the District's Web site. Pursuant to the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act, any person requiring special accommodations to participate in this hearing is asked to advise the agency at least 48 hours in advance by contacting the Board clerk at 434-8139. A person may submit written comments (12 copies) about the proposed action to the clerk no later than the time of the public hearing. This hearing is open to the public.
