RULE TITLE: Employment of Substitute Teachers, Teachers of Adult Education, and Nondegreed Teachers of Career Programs.

RULE NUMBER: Policy 3.85.

SUBJECT AREA TO BE ADDRESSED: Revising a date listed in the Policy.

PURPOSE AND EFFECT: This revision changes the threshold date from August 1 to June 30, 2007, for eligibility for reimbursement of costs for fingerprinting done after that date by substitute teachers who request reimbursement and provide verification of having served as a substitute teacher for at least ten days within six months of the fingerprinting being completed.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE: Development of the proposed rule is anticipated to be considered at the School Board's Special Meeting on Policies on December 5, 2007, anticipated to begin at 3:30 p.m. (an approximate time, as the actual start time may vary earlier or later) in the Board Chambers at 3300 Forest Hill Blvd., West Palm Beach, Fla. AGENDA: An agenda will be available by November 28, 2007 on the District's Web site.
