RULE TITLE: Independent Sales Surtax Oversight Committee.

RULE NUMBER: Policy 1.095.

SUBJECT AREA TO BE ADDRESSED: The purpose, structure, function, and protocols of the Independent Sales Surtax Oversight Committee, an independent advisory committee to the Board.

PURPOSE AND EFFECT: The ISSOC shall assist the Board through independent oversight of the District's use of the proceeds of the half-cent sales surtax to be collected in Palm Beach County from January 1, 2005, through December 31, 2010 as well as reviewing the implementation of the 2005-2009 five-year capital facilities plan as it relates to the proceeds of the sales surtax.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE: Development of the proposed rule is anticipated to be considered at the School Board's Special Meeting on Policies on July 27, 2011, anticipated to begin at 3:00 p.m. (an approximate time, as the actual start time may vary earlier or later) in the Board Chambers at 3300 Forest Hill Boulevard; West Palm Beach, Fla. AGENDA: An agenda will be available by July 20, 2011 on the District's Web site. Pursuant to the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act, any person requiring special accommodations to participate in this hearing is asked to advise the agency at least 48 hours in advance by contacting the Board clerk at 434-8139.
