RULE TITLE: Nepotism.

RULE NUMBER: Policy 3.60.

SUBJECT AREA TO BE ADDRESSED: This revision updates the definition section to include registered domestic partners. Additionally, the prohibition of indirect supervision shall not apply to positions requiring instructional certification and transportation employees who are not mechanics.

PURPOSE AND EFFECT: The purpose of this policy is to provide guidelines to prevent and address conflict of interest situations of employees related to employment, promotion, supervision, and evaluation of immediate family members.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE: Development of the proposed rule is anticipated to be considered at the School Board's Special Meeting on Policies on November 22, 2011, anticipated to begin at 5:00 p.m. (an approximate time, as the actual start time may vary earlier or later) in the Board Chambers at 3300 Forest Hill Blvd., West Palm Beach, Fla. AGENDA: An agenda will be available by November 15, 2011 on the District's Web site.
