RULE NUMBER: Policy 2.04.

PURPOSE AND EFFECT: To update procedures for coordination of public information and media relations through the Public Affairs Office and dissemination of information about the District to the public, including the press.

SUMMARY: Updates and clarifies responsibilities and procedures for dissemination of information about the District to the public, including the press, noticing public meetings, responding to media inquiries, initiating media contact, and handling serious incidents; clarifies procedures and school principals' statutory authority regarding campus visits; updates statutory references.
