NOTICE OF PROPOSED RULE DEVELOPMENT

RULE TITLE: Standards for Assigning Principals and Teachers to the Lowest-Performing Schools.

RULE NUMBER: Policy 2.115.  

SUBJECT AREA TO BE ADDRESSED: Standards for Assigning Principals and Teachers to the Lowest-Performing Schools. 

PURPOSE AND EFFECT: This proposed Policy would prohibit principals or teachers from being newly assigned to the lowest performing ("double F") schools unless such principals or teachers have demonstrated satisfactory performance by having received no areas of concern on the three (3) most recent performance evaluations; makes a limited exception for those recently graduated from college, with no previous employee performance evaluations as a teacher.

RULE DEVELOPMENT HEARING: It is anticipated that this policy development will be considered at the School Board's Special Meeting on Policies on December 2, 2002, at 2:00 p.m., in the Board Chambers at 3300 Forest Hill Blvd., West Palm Beach, Fla. The meeting is open to the public.
