RULE NUMBER: Policy 2.382.

PURPOSE AND EFFECT: To set forth the functions of the safety committees and encourage safety awareness among employees.

SUMMARY: Integrates the safety program and the District's comprehensive safety plan in conjunction with safety committees for the District, the school sites, and the District's Transportation Dept. and the Dept. of Maintenance and Plant Operations. The goal of these committees is to maintain safety in their respective environments through promotion of safety awareness, planning, education, training, and promotion of best practices.
