SUBJECT AREA TO BE ADDRESSED: Functions of the safety committees and encouraging safety awareness among employees.

PURPOSE AND EFFECT: To integrate a safety program and the District's comprehensive safety plan in conjunction with safety committees for the District, the school sites, and the District's Transportation Dept. and the Dept. of Maintenance and Plant Operations. The goal of these committees is to maintain safety in their respective environments through promotion of safety awareness, planning, education, training, and promotion of best practices.
