RULE TITLE: Calls to Action.

RULE NUMBER: Policy 2.591.

SUBJECT AREA TO BE ADDRESSED: The Board's authority to inform employees and citizens of the needs of the District and the impact of proposed legislation.

PURPOSE AND EFFECT: To clarify the public educational purpose of using District resources to disseminate information and invite community members and employees to support the Board's position on a topic when contacting representatives outside of work hours.

RULE DEVELOPMENT HEARING: It is anticipated that this policy development will be considered at the School Board's Special Meeting on Policies on December 2, 2002, at 2:00 p.m., in the Board Chambers at 3300 Forest Hill Blvd., West Palm Beach, Fla. The meeting is open to the public.
