NOTICE OF PROPOSED POLICY ADOPTION

POLICY TITLE: Standards of Conduct for Former School Board Members and Employees.

POLICY NUMBER: 3.22.

PURPOSE AND EFFECT: To track the statutory language more closely regarding personal representation of another person or entity by former Board members and employees for compensation.

SUMMARY: This proposed revision precisely conforms the language of Policy to the language of the statutes implemented regarding a statutory prohibition on personally representing clients for compensation, before the School Board or District, for two years after leaving office or employment; sets forth the statutory definition of "personally represent another person or entity for compensation;" cites Opinion 01-05 of the Fla. Commission on Ethics.

Any person who wishes to provide information regarding a statement of estimated regulatory costs, or to provide a proposal for a lower cost regulatory alternative, must do so in writing within 21 days of the publication of this Notice.
