NOTICE OF PROPOSED RULE DEVELOPMENT

POLICY TITLE: Performance Pay for School Administrators and Instructional Personnel.

POLICY NUMBER: 3.302.

SUBJECT AREA TO BE ADDRESSED: A five-percent pay supplement for school administrators and instructional personnel who demonstrate outstanding performance as measured under the assessment procedure of Fla. Stat. § 231.29, as required by §§ 230.23(5)(c) and 1012.22(1)(c)4.

PURPOSE AND EFFECT: Implements Fla. Stat. § 1012.22(1)(c)4 by providing for a budget reserve fund and salary schedules for the 2002-2003 fiscal year (and thereafter) to allow school administrators and instructional personnel to earn a five-percent pay supplement if they have demonstrated outstanding performance as measured under the assessment procedure of Fla. Stat. § 231.29 (to become § 1012.34) and the provisions of this Policy. Summarizes the process for determining outstanding performance, including a student achievement component; and provides that this Policy will be applied consistent with the CTA Agreement.
