POLICY TITLE: Grievance Procedure for Employees. POLICY NUMBER: 3.31. SUBJECT AREA TO BE ADDRESSED: Procedures to be used by employees and supervisors to report and resolve allegations of harassment as prohibited by 3.19, or allegations of other violation, misapplication, or misinterpretation of School Board Policies or Administrative Directives. PURPOSE AND EFFECT: To secure, at the lowest administrative level possible, an equitable solution to employee grievances; this revision updates details of the four levels of review; allows up to sixty days for initial reporting of incidents of harassment or discrimination, but maintains the ten-day initial reporting period for grievances on other matters; explains that if a greivance is filed under the procedure set forth in a collective bargaining agreement, the employee may not pursue the same grievance under this Policy.
