RULE TITLE: Definition of "Retiree" for Purposes of the Health Plan.

RULE NUMBER: Policy 3.79.

SUBJECT AREA TO BE ADDRESSED: Which persons retired from District employment under the FRS Investment Plan will be classified as retirees for purposes of continuation in the District’s health insurance plan.

PURPOSE AND EFFECT: To clarify, for purposes of having the option of continuing in the District’s health insurance plan under Fla. Stat. § 112.0801, that the criteria for being deemed a "retiree" under the FRS Investment Plan (Public Employee Optional Retirement Program) will be defined similar to retirement under the FRS Pension Plan.
