RULE TITLE: Student Assignment.

RULE NUMBER: Policy 5.01.

PURPOSE AND EFFECT: To implement criteria for assignment of students through attendance boundaries, as well as mentioning various choice options and authorizing a system of controlled open enrollment (which the Board could choose to implement).

SUMMARY: Implements criteria for setting student attendance boundaries and sets forth the various choice options available to students in lieu of assignment by attendance boundaries; also makes the Policy consistent with the possibility that the Board could implement an updated controlled open enrollment plan pursuant to Fla. Stat. § 1002.31.
