NOTICE OF PROPOSED RULE ADOPTION

RULE TITLE: Violation of Attendance Requirements for the Learnfare Program. RULE NUMBER: Policy 5.094. PURPOSE AND EFFECT: To update the Policy on reporting violations of attendance requirements for the Learnfare program to the Department of Children and Families. SUMMARY: Revises the Policy to reflect current law and to facilitate having cooperative agreements with the Department of Children and Families pursuant to Fla. Stat. § 414.1251(3), to assist DCF with tracking students with habitual truancy or who have dropped out of school without good cause, or whose parent/guardian has not attended a school conference each semester as required by F.A.C. r. 65A-4.2131. SPECIFIC RULEMAKING AUTHORITY: §§ 230.22(2); 230.23005(6), Fla. Stat. LAWS IMPLEMENTED: §§ 228.041(28), (29); 228.093(3)(d); 232.01; 414.1251, Fla. Stat. Any person who wishes to provide information regarding a statement of estimated regulatory costs, or to provide a proposal for a lower cost regulatory alternative, must do so in writing within 21 days of the publication of this Notice.
