RULE TITLE: Student Suspension.

RULE NUMBER: Policy 5.1815.

SUBJECT AREA TO BE ADDRESSED: Criteria and procedures for out-of-school suspension, as defined in Fla. Stat. § 1003.01(5)(a).

PURPOSE AND EFFECT: The purpose of this Policy is to codify uniform guidelines for school administrators regarding criteria and procedures for imposing out-of-school suspensions.

PUBLIC WORKSHOP NOTICE: A workshop for Board discussion of this and other proposed Policies will be held on June 21 at 4:00 p.m. in the Board Chambers at 3300 Forest Hill Blvd., West Palm Beach, Fla. (Additionally, development of the proposed rule is anticipated to be considered at the School Board's Special Meeting on Policies on June 28, 2004, anticipated to begin at 2:15 p.m.)   AGENDA: A copy of the agenda will be available by June 14 on the District’s Web site. Pursuant to the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act, any person requiring special accommodations to participate in these meetings is asked to advise the agency at least 48 hours before the workshop by contacting the Board clerk at 434-8139.
