NOTICE OF PROPOSED RULE ADOPTION & PUBLIC HEARING

RULE TITLE: Debt Management .

RULE NUMBER: Policy 6.085.

PURPOSE AND EFFECT: To set forth guidelines for the issuance and management of debt, including short-term and long-term obligations issued by the School Board and associated financing entities.

SUMMARY: Formalizes guidelines for the issuance and management of the debt of the School District, such as criteria for evaluating and establishing the basis for comparing actual performance results achieved by debt management; facilitating the sound and efficient management of District debt; and providing guidelines for the overall debt management process so that all liabilities are managed in accordance with stated objectives.

Any person who wishes to provide information regarding a statement of estimated regulatory costs, or to provide a proposal for a lower cost regulatory alternative, must do so in writing within 21 days of the publication of this Notice.
