RULE TITLE: Debt Management .

RULE NUMBER: Policy 6.085.

SUBJECT AREA TO BE ADDRESSED: Guidelines for the issuance and management of debt, including short-term and long-term obligations issued by the School Board and associated financing entities.

PURPOSE AND EFFECT: To formalize guidelines for the issuance and management of the debt of the School District, such as criteria for evaluating and establishing the basis for comparing actual performance results achieved by debt management; facilitating the sound and efficient management of District debt; and providing guidelines for the overall debt management process so that all liabilities are managed in accordance with stated objectives.

PUBLIC HEARING: It is anticipated that this rule development will be considered at the School Board's Special Meeting on Policies on March 1, 2004, anticipated to begin at 5:00 p.m., in the Board Chambers at 3300 Forest Hill Blvd., West Palm Beach, Fla. The meeting is open to the public.
