NOTICE OF PROPOSED RULE DEVELOPMENT & PUBLIC HEARING

RULE TITLE: Coordinated Planning.

RULE NUMBER: Policy 7.131.

SUBJECT AREA TO BE ADDRESSED: Minor revisions to implement amendments to the Interlocal Agreement for Concurrency.

PURPOSE AND EFFECT: The minor revisions in this Policy and three others in Chapter 7 are needed to implement amendments to the Interlocal Agreement for Concurrency, on which the required number of municipalities have recently signed off. Statutory citations are updated; adds a provision regarding use of the cohort survivor method of improving enrollment projection methodologies; changes the date from February 25, 2002, to November 1 of each year, to develop student enrollment projections; refers to the first FTE student count, rather than the first count of the second semester; changes the date from April 1 to November 1 for publication of updated enrollment and capacity data; deletes the October 15 date for coordinating site planning for proposed new schools with local governments; deletes references to capacity based on the Florida Inventory of School Houses.
