RULE NUMBER: Policy 7.21.

SUBJECT AREA TO BE ADDRESSED: The District's implementation of the Florida Building Code.

PURPOSE AND EFFECT: To revise the Policy in accordance with recent changes in the K-20 Education Code and the Florida Building Code. The revision provides for the District's building official to render interpretations of the building code and issue stop-work orders when work on any District building, structure, or electrical, gas, mechanical, or plumbing system is found to be contrary to the provisions of the Florida Building Code.

PUBLIC HEARING: It is anticipated that this Policy development will be considered at the School Board's Special Meeting on Policies on March 24, 2003, at 2:00 p.m. in the Board Chambers at 3300 Forest Hill Blvd., West Palm Beach, Fla. The meeting is open to the public.
