NOTICE OF PROPOSED RULE DEVELOPMENT & PUBLIC HEARING

RULE TITLE: Historic Designation Of School Board Facilities .

RULE NUMBER: Policy 7.25.

SUBJECT AREA TO BE ADDRESSED: Designation, preservation, restoration, and use of historic facilities owned by the School Board.

PURPOSE AND EFFECT: To codify standards for designating an educational facility as historic, pursuant to Fla. Stat. § 1013.64 and SREF § 1.5; criteria and procedures for consideration of a facility for preservation and renovation; use of restored buildings; and potential sale or lease of certain facilities.

SPECIFIC RULEMAKING AUTHORITY: §§ 1001.41(2); 1001.43(4), Fla. Stat.

PUBLIC HEARING: It is anticipated that this rule development will be considered at the School Board's Special Meeting on Policies on March 1, 2004, anticipated to begin at 5:00 p.m., in the Board Chambers at 3300 Forest Hill Blvd., West Palm Beach, Fla. The meeting is open to the public.
