NOTICE OF PROPOSED RULE DEVELOPMENT & PUBLIC HEARING

RULE TITLE: Instructional Materials Accountability.

RULE NUMBER: Policy 8.1225.

SUBJECT AREA TO BE ADDRESSED: Recovery of the new-purchase value of instructional materials, such as textbooks, that are lost, destroyed, or unnecessarily damaged during the first two years of use.

PURPOSE AND EFFECT: To implement an exemption recognized by the State Board of Education on February 17, 2004, under Charter District status. Although Fla. SPECIFIC RULEMAKING AUTHORITY: §§ 1001.41(2); 1006.28, Fla. Stat.

LAWS IMPLEMENTED: §§ 1006.28; 1006.42; 1003.62(2) and partial exemption from § 1006.28(3)(b), Fla. Stat.
