  • The SDPBC (The School District of Palm Beach County) was rated an “A” for eight consecutive years by the Florida Department of Education (FDOE).
    • Florida's only urban school district with this distinction.
  • The SDPBC is the 3rd largest school district in the world that has received district accreditation through AdvancED. Every standard school within the district is accredited, K through 12; all meeting the high international standards.

  • The SDPBC is a national leader in the quality and diversity of its award-winning Career Academies and Choice Programs; totaling 236 programs throughout all school levels.
    • Over 8000 students have earned Industry Certifications between 2011 and 2012.
  • The SDPBC has one of the nation’s most recognized and extensive advanced studies programs and has Gifted and Arts Programs in all school levels. Programs range from Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), Middle School Pre-IB, Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEAM), and Cambridge University’s Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE).

  • The Eli and Edythe Broad Foundation has honored the SDPBC as a finalist for the Broad Prize for Urban Education. This prestigious award resulted in a $150,000 prize in Broad Scholarships for students. This is the largest education award in the country and awarded to school districts that demonstrate the greatest overall performance and improvement in graduation rates while reducing achievement gaps.
  • The 10,000 Palm Beach County School graduates in 2012 garnered nearly $94 million dollars in scholarships. The students were accepted to a wide range of colleges and universities to include local, state, Ivy League, International, Arts, Historically Black Colleges and Universities, military and numerous others.

  • Newsweek and U.S. News Magazine recognized six high schools in PBC with the distinction of Best High Schools in America 2012.
  • The SDPBC recognizes the importance of teaching a variety of languages. The schools offer instruction in a number of languages to include: Chinese, French, Italian, Latin, Spanish, Haitian Creole and American Sign Language.

  • The SDPBC is proud of its 1200 business partnerships. Partnerships encompass a wide variety of industry to include: Banking, Bio-Tech, Utilities, Engineering, Information Technology, Retail, Medical, Communication, Hospitality, Construction and numerous others.
    • The partnerships provide more than $4,000,000 in support to our schools annually.
  • The SDPBC is privileged to have great community support from 38,256 community volunteers proudly and effectively serving our students and schools.
    • Community volunteers provide the district with more than 1,000,000 hours annually.
