   I recommend the Board expel student 05/06-X-016 from the regular public school program of The School District of Palm Beach County for one (1) calendar year.  On September 15, 2005, student 05/06-X-016 caused a disruption of school/disorderly conduct while on the campus of Forest Hill High School.  I further recommend that the attached Final Order be adopted and entered by the School Board.	-	PASS

    Minutes: Dr. Benaim suggested this student serve an extended suspension, shorter expulsion or be sent to Palm Beach Marine Institute. Mrs. Burdick stated that she trusts the judgment of those individuals who witnessed and recommended this expulsion. Dr. Robinson questioned if expelled students are able to attend charter schools. Amended Motion: An amended motion by Benaim to allow this student to serve an extended suspension, shorter expulsion or be sent to Palm Beach Marine Institute dies for lack of a second.

    Minutes: Dr. Robinson stated that she hopes the District is not expelling at every opportunity and that Miami-Dade is working aggressively to address their disparity in the use of Zero Tolerance. Mr. Lynch questioned the policies and procedures in place to protect children that have been bullied or harassed. Mrs. Burdick reminded Board Members that CTA will sponsor training sessions on bullying this month.
