Title: CP1 Approval of Architectural Consultant Agreement with Zyscovich, Inc. for Village Academy Addition

Recommendation:
I recommend the School Board approve the award of an Architectural Consultant Agreement with Zyscovich, Inc. in the amount of $1,045,000. and authorize the Superintendent and Board Chairman to sign all required documents for Village Academy Addition, Project No. 2811-8271.

Description:

Design of additional classrooms, core facilities and infrastructure for the addition of a 43,636 GSF middle school with 413 proposed student stations and a 36,906 GSF high school with 345 proposed student stations. 

Approved Budget for Design :  $1,837,514.

Approved Budget for Construction:  $14,404,556.

Minority Participation: 20%

Base Fee:                   $880,000.

Allowance for Reimbursable

Expenses 5% (NTE):   $45,000.                                                

Allowance for Add’l

Service 10 % (NTE):  $120,000.

Total                          $1,045,000

Financial Impact:
The financial impact is $1,045,000.  The source of funds is the corresponding Capital Projects Budget. The District will provide the Professional Liability Insurance at a cost of $27,428.20.
