Title: Recommendation: I recommend the School Board approve the Educational Specification for the addition to Citrus Cove Elementary School, and authorize the Chairman and Superintendent to execute all related contract documents. Description: Citrus Cove Elementary School 1. The addition to Citrus Cove Elementary is scheduled to commence 2006 and be completed by 2007 according to the Board-adopted FY 2005 - FY 2009 Five-Year Plan. 2. The educational specification for addition to Citrus Cove Elementary is consistent with the CSR facility lists and CSR generic educational specifications approved by the Board on November 8, 2004. 3. The “CSR FISH Capacity” of this school design would be 1049 and the “Program Capacity” of this school design would be 870 students, as authorized by the 4. The Educational Specification also reflects the instructional needs of the existing ESE and ESOL programs serving the students of the school. The Educational Specifications consist of seven (7) additional ESE Resource Rooms. 5. The Educational Specification also reflects the instructional needs of the Amendment 9 – Class Size Reduction. Additional teaching spaces have been provided by adding kindergarten, primary and intermediate classrooms. 6. Based upon recent enrollment projections and programs this addition will eliminate the need for portables. 7. The existing facilities will be analyzed by the project architect to determine appropriate usage of the site and buildings for necessary renovations and remodeling to meet SREF size standards, ADA requirements and other code issues. 8.
