Title: Arts Education Week

Recommendation:
I recommend the School Board adopt the Proclamation recognizing April 11-17, 2005 as Arts Education Week.

Description: The study of arts contributes to young people's development through heightened skills in listening, reading, self-expression, and creativity.  In conjunction with Arts Education Week, the fourth annual Race For The Arts will be held in downtown West Palm Beach on Saturday, April 16, 2005.  This event is designed to showcase the Fine Arts opportunities the students in Palm Beach County have and help support these programs.
