P4 Approve negotiated contract for Extended ManageSoft Implementation Services with IBM Global Services.
· Additional support services are needed due to the increased scope of the ManageSoft Client Management project approved by the Board on June 29, 2005 (agenda item P10).
· The ManageSoft Client Management Suite software will allow Information Technology (IT) remote and automatic update capacity for the District’s Personal Computers (PCs).
· The software will allow the PCs to be self-patching devices that automatically ensure security com-pliance. The District’s infrastructure will be better protected by this enhancement.
· Additional resources will be trained to support and manage ManageSoft to ensure the District will have sufficient depth of support.
· Advanced training is needed to implement the patch management component of ManageSoft to ensure complete and accurate patch management procedures and processes.
· Advanced training is needed to ensure efficient and reliable unattended operations of daily ManageSoft tasks and procedures.
· The cost for these services is $77,900.
