CC11 The Consultant shall perform the following services: JV Tech, Inc. shall serve as an independent contractor for the BOARD, servicing the Educational Data Warehouse (EDW) in the following areas:
Function as a data administrator and provide technical expertise to the data warehouse team in the areas of extraction, translation and loading of data to EDW.
Provide weekly-customized hands-on training sessions. Through the training and co-development with the Consultant, the DBA team will be able to fast track the addition of new data as well as streamline current processes of EDW.
Assist with extraction transformation and loading of new data to the EDW:

Develop procedures to process data records that do not meet expected format (e.g., typographical errors, invalid dates, rejected records).
Process most recent test results received to the EDW (FCAT SSS, FCAT NRT, FCAT Writes, SAT, SSS Diagnostic Tests and Common Assessments).
Assist the DBAs with performance tuning of the EDW database.
Create processes to further automate updating EDW with information from the Student System.
Create a formal training program on STRIVA (application used to capture changes in data within the Student System) to include bulk and daily processing, and the initialization of data captures.
The above referenced consultant has:
Expertise in the knowledge and use of DB2 and Cognos tools
Demonstrated success in producing data warehouse implementation and maintenance
Knowledge of local system and data structures
Demonstrated ability to work with district staff
