Title: PS2-PERSONNEL DISCIPLINARY ACTION

Recommendation:
I recommend that the School Board approve Barbara J. Buccini's Suspension Without Pay, effective April 20, 2006, and Termination, effective fifteen (15) days after the April 19, 2006, Board Meeting, subject only to appeal under Section 120.68, Florida Statutes, unless a timely request for an administrative hearing is made within the fifteen (15) days stated herein pursuant to Section 120.569 and 120.57, Florida Statutes, wherein Ms. Buccini will remain suspended without payment of salary and benefits until final School Board disposition is entered to the administrative hearing proceedings. 

Description:

On or about August 25, 2005, Ms. Buccini became the subject of a Professional Standards investigation into allegations that she filed a false police report accusing co-workers of theft and other misconduct, misused District time by sending a large volume of personal e-mails and engaged in unprofessional conduct by making negative, disrupting and untrue comments about co-workers and supervisors.  At the conclusion of the investigation, the allegations of misuse of District time and unprofessional conduct were substantiated.

Financial Impact:
There is no financial impact to the school district.
