Title: Asthma Friendly Schools

Description: Ten elementary schools participated in the Asthma Friendly Schools Program in 2005.  This program has been a cooperative effort of the Schools, the American Lung Association, the M&PO Department and the Environmental Control Office.  This program has been aimed at reducing Asthma Triggers in our elementary schools.  Asthma is known to be the number one reason for absenteeism in schools.  By reducing asthma triggers in schools, we also improve Indoor Air Quality in these schools for all students and staff.
