Title: Tools For Success Program

Description: Tools For Success is a construction education collaborative project between education and industry.  Recognizing the need in the largest industry in the country for a trained workforce, Tools For Success reaches out to a group of high school students that would not normally get involved in the real world training for a career in construction.  Working together with the School District, Junior Achievement and Workforce Alliance have created Tools For Success to not only address the needs of the construction industry but also to reinforce classroom concepts with applied, hands on project based learning activities.  The Tools For Success students have attained OSHA safety certification as well as learning first aid and CPR.  As a result of the Tools For Success program, these students can safely walk on a job site, use tools properly and be confident to look a boss straight in the eye and say, “Are you hiring because I am ready to work?”
