Title: PM9 Project Modifications & Final for William T. Dwyer Recommendation:
I recommend the School Board approve Project Modifications in the amount of $4,909.70, approve Reduction of Retainage from 10% to 0%, approve Final Payment and ratify Final Acceptance for William T. Dwyer High School, Weight Training Facility Project, and authorize the Chairman and Superintendent to execute all related contract documents.
Description:
William T. Dwyer High School – Weight Training Facility Project #2201-8341
This project modification contains the following items:
Item #1
- CCD #2 in the amount of $3,722.13.
- Description: Install and upgrade the main campus fire alarm system to accommodate the additional capacity required for the weight training facility.
- Cause: Unforeseen Condition.
- Justification: At the time of construction, it was found that all additional capacity in the main fire panel had been utilized. At the time of design, capacity was available. BRPH donated all design and construction administrative services.
Item #2
- CCD #3 in the amount of $1,187.57.
- Description: Relocation of shower controls and devices.
- Cause: School District Requested.
- Justification: ADA code compliance
Item #3
- Description: The Project Architect has certified that William T. Dwyer High School, under contract with Coral-Tech Associates, achieved Final Completion on December 4, 2004.
The General Contractor has requested, and the Architect and Staff have recommended, Final Payment and Final Acceptance.
- Punch List items were Completed
- Certification of Occupancy was Obtained
- Closeout Documents were Received
- Errors & Omissions did not Exceed 1%
- Final M/WBE Participation Achieved: 26.80%
Financial Impact:
The financial impact to the Project's Budget is $4,909.70.
The source of funds is Minor Projects Budget.
