Title: PM1 Project Modifications for Wellington Area Middle

Recommendation:

I recommend the School Board ratify Project Modifications in the amount of $46,462.50 for Wellington Area Middle School (02-JJ), New School Construction Project, and authorize the Chairman and Superintendent to execute all related contract documents.

Description:

 

Wellington Area Middle School (02-JJ) – New School Construction Project #3371‑8290

 

This project modification contains the following item:

 

  • CCD #1 in the amount of $46,462.50
  • Description:  Removal of unsuitable soils (muck) materials from areas of the building pad of the facility.
  • Cause: Unforeseen Condition
  • Justification: The soils report did not provide a boring in this location.  The Geotechnical Report provided borings at a random grid pattern throughout the project.

Financial Impact:

The financial impact to the Project's Budget is $46,462.50.

 

The source of funds is the project budget as approved by the Board at the time of the Construction Contract Award.
