Sheri B. Predmore, special education teacher at Christa McAuliffe Middle School, is the School District of Palm Beach County nominee to the Florida Department of Education-Macy’s Teacher of the Year Program.  She represents the talented and dedicated workforce of approximately 12,000 Palm Beach County teachers.
Ms. Predmore teaches language arts to students enrolled in Exceptional Student Education. Through her unique teaching strategies, the entire ESE student population at the school met the Adequate Yearly Progress Standard in Reading.  Other indicators of Ms. Predmore's leadership in education are National Board Certification, service as a staff developer at the local, state, and national level, and mentorship of new teachers.  As the Florida State Team Leader for National Hill Day, Ms. Predmore serves as liaison to the U. S. Congress and the National Board Certified Teacher’s Association.  As the Palm Beach County representative to the Florida Department of Education-Macy’s Teacher of the Year 2007 Program, Ms. Predmore will be invited to attend the Teacher of the Year Roundtable and gala awards ceremony held in Orlando in  July.
