P4   Approve request for purchase, installation and training for the Tandberg Language Lab for William T. Dwyer High School. 

·       Tandberg is the manufacturer of the language lab chosen by William T. Dwyer High School as meeting the requirements mandated by the Sunshine State Standards.  Extensive research was done by the school staff.

·      William T. Dwyer High School offers an Advanced Placement International Diploma which requires oral proficiency in a second language.  This is the selected system that will meet their needs.

·       Multimedia Solutions, Inc. is the sole authorized distributor for Tandberg in the State of Florida.

·     The University of Florida and Valencia Community College each have an existing Tandberg Language lab that was purchased through Multimedia Solutions, Inc.

·       Tandberg Language Labs have been purchased for Jupiter and Suncoast High Schools.

 ·      The cost of purchase of the lab is $48,556.

Financial Impact:
The financial impact to the District Budget is estimated at $48,556.  The source of funds is the William T. Dwyer High School budget.
