Title: PM5 Project Modifications for Central Bus Compound

Recommendation:

I recommend the School Board approve Project Modifications in the amount of $16,500.00 for Central Bus Compound, New Transportation Facility Project, and authorize the Chairman and Superintendent to execute all related contract documents.

Description:

 

Central Bus Compound – New Transportation Facility Project #2251-8268 

 

The project Modifications include the following item:

 

  • Additional Architectural Services in the amount of $16,500.00.
  • Description: This fee is for costs related to 150 days of extended construction administration services and additional civil engineering.
  • Cause:  School District Requested-The District impacted the schedule 54 days by not having completed the relocation of the M&PO Sites Department to the new Fairground Road location School District requested, and delays due to the Palm Beach County Water Utilities Department (PBCWUD) required redesign of the water and sewer plans, and some added scope.
  • Justification:  Work needed to be completed despite the delay and added scope.

Financial Impact:

The financial impact to the Project’s Budget is $16,500.00

 

The source of funds is the project budget as approved by the Board at the time of the Construction Contract Award.
