Description: Melissa Llorans, a 7th grader at Polo Park Middle School has been selected by a national organization to have a poem published.  The poem titled Upon the Midnight Sun will appear in the "Young American Poetry Digest."  In nominating Melissa, her teacher Craig Kaliser wrote, "Melissa shows great promise as a poet and this poem is fairly advanced for the sixth grade level.  Her imaginative nature and creativity form the perfect combination for this genre."
