Title: P2 Extension of RFP 02C-009R

Recommendation:

I recommend that the School Board approve the extension of RFP 02C-009R for Temporary Staffing Services for ninety days beginning October 1, 2005 through December 29, 2005.

Description:

P2 - Approve extension of RFP 02C-009R for Temporary Staffing Services for ninety days beginning October 1, 2005 through December 29, 2005.

·      RFP No. 02C-009R was awarded by Board action on September 18, 2002, to Adecco Employment, Kelly Services and Express Personnel Services for three years from October 1, 2002 through September 20, 2005 with the option to renew for two addi­tional one-year periods.

·      By Board action on June 29, 2005, the estimated expenditure was increased by $325,000.

·      Per Special Condi­tion 5.0, Term of Contract/Renewal, this contract may be extended for 90 days.  This contract will be extended for 90 days in or­der to de­velop new spec­ifications and to solicite new pricing.  These companies agreed to honor this condition when they signed their original RFP.  

·      All terms, con­di­tions, pricing of existing contract will remain the same for the extension period. 

·      The estimated expenditure for this extension period is $350,000.       

Financial Impact:
The additional financial impact to the District Budget is estimated at $350,000.  The source of funds is various schools and departments budgets.
