Title: P5 Award of RFP 05C-006N

Recommendation:

I recommend approval of the award of RFP 05C-006N and authorize the Superintendent and Board Chairman to sign all necessary documents.

Description:

P5 - Approve the award of RFP 05C-006N, Professional Development Regarding the Root Causes of Racism for the contract period beginning October 1, 2005 through September 30, 2006.  

·      RFP 05C-006N for Professional Development Regarding the Root Causes of Racism was solicited on May 11, 2005. A total of 139 vendors were notified of the availability of the RFP.  Responses received totaled four.

·      The Evaluation Committee, consisting of District staff, convened and reviewed all responsive proposals and recommended award based upon the evaluation criteria outlined in the RFP.           

·      The Evaluation Committee recommended award to the highest rated proposer.  Negotiations resulted in five workshops being conducted at $12,000 each.

·      Copies of the RFP documents are attached.

Financial Impact:
The financial impact to the District Budget is estimated at $60,000.  The source of funds is the Staff Development Department budget.
