Title: Recommendation: I recommend approval of the purchase of Segue SilkPerformer Load Testing Software and authorize the Superintendent and Board Chairman to sign all necessary documents. Description: P7 - Approve the purchase of Segue SilkPerformer Load Testing Software in the not-to-exceed amount of $117,000. · The District needs the ability to perform stress tests on new systems before going live. At this time, there is no existing software in district protocol that will perform these tests. The District will be able to use Segue SilkPerformer Software for the PeopleSoft/eVerge project, and for future IT projects and systems. Segue includes various SilkPerformer Software modules in the base price. This will allow IT to use the software in the long term. · Strength – Segue SilkPerformer Software is widely recognized as an industry leading · Training/Services –Segue is providing a combination of SilkPerformer Software training, a QuickStart program, and longer term professional services that will provide the District with the flexibility to tailor a launch program to ensure system optimization. · Cost of Ownership –Segue’s license policies ensure that the District will be able to apply these tools to an array of other protocols/applications without an additional investment. This software is an effective solution for both immediate and future needs. Included in the $117,000 is the license fee, training and first year maintenance.
