Title: PM4 Project Modifications for Indian Pines Elementary Recommendation:
I recommend the School Board approve Project Modifications in the amount of $2,500,000.00 for Indian Pines Elementary School, Classroom Additions Project, and adjust all appropriate contracts, and authorize the Chairman and Superintendent to execute all related contract documents.
Description:
Indian Pines Elementary School – Classroom Addition Project #1861-8374
The Project Modification contains the following item:
- Additional Architectural Services in the amount of $107,063.00.
- Description: Architectural services for design and engineering for added scope to additions and remodeling to include Brick Remediation.
- Cause: School District Requested
- Justification: The scope of work has been modified to include the Brick Remediation on the entire campus. This is one of the Schwab and Twitty designed schools that have brick faults such as; brick tie failure, missing brick ties, missing expansion joints and moisture flashing problems.
- Construction Costs are estimated to be approximately $2,392,937.00, which was included in the board approved 5 Year Plan for this school.
Financial Impact:
The financial impact to the Project's Budget is $2,500,000.00.
The source of funds is the project budget as approved by the Board at the time of the Construction Contract Award.
