Title: CP3 A/E Agmnt for Royal Palm School

Recommendation:

I recommend the School Board approve the award of an Architectural Consultant Agreement with Tercilla Courtemanche Architects, Inc. in the amount of $1,450,000 and authorize the Superintendent and Board Chairman to sign all required documents for Royal Palm School, Project No. 1801-8307.

Description:

Architectural Design Services necessary to complete permitted design documents for construction of an approximately 145,600 GSF replacement facility to accommodate 566 K-12, ESE student stations with related core facilities. The replacement facility will be constructed on the current site followed by demolition of existing facility and construction of ancillary facilities.

Approved Budget for Planning and Design:                   $1,571,290.

Approved Budget for Construction:                            $20,168,233

Fee for Basic Services to include Program Definition: $1,450,000 

Funds Available For:
Additional Services: $145,000

Reimbursables: $72,500
Total Contract Award: $1,667,500

Five (5) firms responded to the RFP and three (3) firms were shortlisted. The final ranking of the Selection Committee is as follows: 

(1) Tercilla Courtemanche Architects, Inc.

(2) Harvard Jolly, Inc.

(3) Harper Aiken Partners, Inc.

Financial Impact:
The financial impact is $1,450,000. The source of funds is the corresponding Capital Projects Budget. The District will provide the Professional Responsibility Insurance at a cost of $41,836.
