Title: PM5 Project Modifications for Indian Ridge and CEP Alternative

Recommendation:

I recommend the School Board approve Project Modifications to adjust the contract completion dates for Indian Ridge Replacement School and CEP Alternative Education School, and authorize the Chairman and Superintendent to execute all related contract documents.

Description:

Indian Ridge Replacement (Project #2411-8386) and CEP Alternative Education School (Project # 0842-7516)

This project modification contains the following item:

COPR #1:  Adjust Contract Time Only.

Description: Modify the Construction Completion deadlines to become:

A) Indian Ridge Replacement School:

Substantial Completion: November 2, 2006.

Final Completion: January 31, 2007

Previous dates were:

Substantial Completion: July 1, 2006

Final Completion: August 1, 2006.

B) CEP Alternative Education Facility:

Substantial Completion: December 1, 2006.

Final Completion: March 1, 2007

Previous dates were:

Substantial Completion: December 1, 2005.

Final Completion: January 1, 2006.

C) This COPR resolves all project time duration issues through May 4, 2006.  This COPR supersedes all documents (including contract documents) that referenced or indicated a start or completion date or a time duration for the project. This COPR further resolves all known issues through May 4, 2006 caused by unforeseen conditions and/or additional work requested by the Owner regarding the project schedule.

Cause - There is a difference of opinion between the parties as to the project Commencement, Substantial Completion and Final Completion dates.  Also, unforeseen conditions and owner requests to date have impacted the schedule.

Financial Impact:

The financial impact to the Project's Budget is $0.00.
