P2 Approve the continuation of the maintenance
agreement with McQuay Services Air
Conditioning, in the not-to-exceed amount of
$50,000.
· On September 6, 2000, Agenda Item 13B-2, the Board approved a comprehensive maintenance program for the HVAC System at the Fulton-Holland Educational Service Center
· The maintenance program provides 24 hour / 7 days per week emergency repair and preventative maintenance services.
· The HVAC system in the Fulton-Holland building is a high-maintenance, highly complex system that requires an intensive preventative maintenance program and service system.
· The original maintenance agreement was for three years with two additional one-year year renewals and may be renewed on a yearly basis thereafter. The original contract period was from September 1, 2000 through August 31, 2003 and was renewed on August 20, 2003 and June 23, 2004 for additional years. The new renewal contract period will be September 1, 2006 through August 31, 2007.
· Twenty Roof-Top Air Handlers were replaced last year, therefore, we no longer require McQuay’s maintenance as they will be maintained by the Maintenance and Plant Operations Department and A/C filters will be provided and changed regularly by the District’s contracted vendor.
