Title: Recommendation: I recommend the School Board approve an Agreement for Construction Management at Risk Services and Preconstruction Phase Fees in the amount of $322,185 to James B. Pirtle Construction Co. for Summit/Jog Area ES (03-Y), Project No. 0551-8338 and authorize the Superintendent and Board Chairman to sign all required documents. Description: Construction Management at Risk pre-construction phase services required for the construction of a 129,900 GSF elementary school with related facilities and an adjacent 15,000 GSF facility to be utilized as an Pre-construction Phase Service Fee: $82,185 (Not To Exceed) Reimbursable Expenses: $40,000 (Not To Exceed) Preliminary Site Preparation and Tree Re-location: $200,000 (Not To Exceed) Total Pre-construction Phase Fee: $322,185 Approved Construction Budget: $22,775,000 Minority Participation: 15% No. of Stories: Two Construction Type: TBD during the design phase Gross Square Feet: 144,815 Budget Cost Per Square Foot: $157.27 Student Stations: 1000 Budget Cost Per Student Station: $ 22,775 Seven (7) firms responded to the RFP.
