The standard cooperative agreement is a shell which will be used for all agreements between the District and community child care settings to provide speech/language services at the community facility.
The standard cooperative agreement with a licensed child care site serving prekindergarten students with disabilities will enable the students to receive services in the community based program while attending the child care site.
The standard cooperative agreement will serve prekindergarten students, ages three through five, who are eligible for speech/language services.
The District will collect 100% of the Full Time Equivalency (FTE) and provide services to the ESE students in the Agency through existing staff or outsourced contracted services.
The Agency will receive no reimbursement.
The District will ensure that students served at these sites are provided speech/language services according to the District's Special Programs and Procedures document.
All of the students will be transitioned into District schools at the end of the school year in which they turn age five.
The cooperative agreement is in compliance with State Board Rule 6A.6-03026 "Special Programs for Prekindergarten Children with Disabilities."
District staff will participate in student placements and make on-site visits to ensure compliance with federal and state guidelines. Student progress will be documented on the Individual Education Plan (IEP).
