Title: AC8 Agreement to Perform Criminal and Sexual Offender Computer Record Checks for Volunteers

Recommendation:
I recommend the School Board consider approval of the Agreement with LexisNexis to perform criminal and sexual offender computer record checks for volunteers.

Description:

• The School District utilizes up to 30,000 volunteers during the year and values the contribution they make in the learning environment.
• LexisNexis will electronically perform an instant identification check, and a state and national criminal and sexual offender search for each volunteer with an immediate report back to the District.

Financial Impact:
The financial impact to the General Fund budget is $75,000.  The source of funds is the School Police Fingerprinting budget.
